Dr Joseph Yassa has been a practicing anesthesiologist for the past 18 years. He is an active, integrated medical staff member at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri since 2002. After graduating from Marshall University School of Medicine in 1994, Dr Yassa completed his Anesthesia residency at West Virginia University, where he was chosen as Chief Resident. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Anesthesiologists and a career member of the Missouri Society of Anesthesiologists. In 2016, he was honored by 417 Magazine as one of the Top Three Anesthesiologists in Springfield, Missouri. He values community service as evidenced by his sponsorship of Missouri State Athletics. He is a deeply devoted physician who prides himself on providing cutting edge, compassionate anesthesia care to his patients.
Dr. Woodring was born and raised in southwest Missouri. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a BS in Chemistry and Biology (emphasis in Biochemistry) and then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. Dr. Woodring went from Columbia, MO to the University of Alabama-Birmingham and received his training in anesthesia. He has been on staff at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO since 2003 as a staff anesthesiologist and is a current diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology. In addition, Dr. Woodring has interests in Cardiac Anesthesia, Perioperative Echocardiography and Critical Care medicine.
